Kirby, I might have mispoken, by full custody, I really meant custodial parent... Regardless, I think our son still needs to know and have an interaction with his mother. So I dont think I would ever even think of seeking full custody, unless like you said life threatning situations or something that severe.

In regards to child support, back in December we mutually decided and I have been paying. Again, this is all unofficial, verbally agreed, but all documented.

As far as the car seat, it never happens when she's picking up our son. I always pick him up and drop him off. When it does, it happens when she drives from her apt to the parents, 4 blocks away. I told her she's risking his life, its against the law, its a fine if she gets pulled over. Like talking to the wall.

Thank you for all the recommendations, I will be discussing all this with my attorney tomorrow.

Yes, document, document, document! Everything you think may be relevant in court. Also, I wouldn't be paying her a dime without a court order. You are not helping her to come out of her wayward fog by giving her money. Who knows how she is using it! You may be funding her irresponsible lifestyle.
