I never intended on telling my children, they had to overhear a conversation about it. I assured them that their daddy would not go to hell, God would forgive him, and that even if Mama could not fix things, Daddy would still love them and be there for them.

He was not fired over the affair itself, he was fired for downloading naked pics of her to his work comp.

Ama, I would talk to any children over age 4 and explain to them what is going on. If you don't do that, they will conclude that "daddy having a girlfriend" must be AOK with you. Kids instinctively know right from wrong and when those instincts are not validated and guided by a rational adult, they learn to doubt themselves. Tell them daddy is having an affair and explain why adultery is immoral.

I would also plan on doing a workplace exposure of the OW. Please read my exposure thread.

This is a heck of a way to live. It is time to set your foot down. He will keep cake eating until you get serious.

Rent a car and drive to Texas to be with your family. Either that or ask them to come get you.

This will not end until you take a drastic measure to end it.

Plan B is in order. That means you cutoff all contact with him, write him a letter explaining the conditions he must meet to return, and then setup an intermediary to handle communications between you guys.

Get a job, get a daycare for your kids, and become self sufficient. This will let you call the shots.

My children are well aware of what an affair is, they know it is biblically wrong, and they know that it can send you to hell. They have made it a point to continue to point that fact out to my husband as well.I never told them that it was okay, they would have told me I was wrong.

Do you have a neighbor that could take you to the local hardware store? Maybe changing the locks on the house is in order.
