well, after 10 months my H is finally making arrangements to see our son. I guess seeing me broke the ice. He has been emailing our son, and got his schedule, so they can meet at "Fridays" restaurant. This is a big relief to me, because I really want them to share something in this life. Maybe they can begin to spend time together, in spite of their busy schedules. And maybe my son will be able to see his dad around the holidays. I was hoping that H would at least be open to coming home for dinner once in awhile. We may be headed for divorce, but there is no reason why he can't sit with us as part of the family every so often. Ok, you all know my sordid story, and how long H has been gone. But damn, there is still a part of me that wishs and hopes he would still come back. I have accepted that this will not happen. But maybe there are miracles.....????? However, I am still proceeding as if he is gone for good.

Wonderful news atw!!
I hope the meeting goes well. I do feel the bond should be maintained, and I know you have worked so hard to help them.
You have such a refreshing mature view of what family is. Thanks for reminding all of us. Easy to forget in the pain what is really important in the big picture. cl
