Pep, you were here at a time I needed reminding about walls and doors.

And countless other times you were here, not just for me but everyone who comes to this forum, whether lurking or posting...think how many souls your words have touched?

Thank you for all you do... hug

I think you're correct.
Standing in the queue waiting for further instructions.

Now THAT's what I call a billboard from God almighty !

Standing in the queue and waiting is not my strong suit.
But, it is His will.
So, I must do this gladly.

Thanks for the support.
Dear Pepperband ~
You are a dear one, sweet Sister in Christ!
Yes, sometimes God calls upon us to "wait"...
Not fun, I know...
However, I trust that He has not asked you to do something that you are not willing or able to do...
I truly wish I could take this cup from you...
I would do it in a heartbeat!
You are so precious and dear.
You are such an inspiration to so many of us who need your wit and wisdom!
Just know that when I pray for you that I am truly sitting on our Daddy's lap, snuggling up next to Him.
I am His little girl, who believes that He will do everything that I ask in accordance to His perfect will for you, my sweet sis...
Hang in there, precious one!
It ain't over yet... You are still worthy of His perfect plan for your life!
Yes! I love 1. Cor. 13:5-6! Even now, when I am so sad and disjointed in my relationship with my H, I KNOW our Father will never give me more than I can bear!
Hugs to you,
In Him ~
P.S. Hey! I just realized something!!!
If I do not see you "before", I'll see you when we get to Heaven!!!
hurray
It's such an awesome thing to Know, really KNOW, where we will spend Eternity, isn't it?!? hug

I'm told that if He gives you a lot on your plate, He thinks a lot of you. So have fun with that, someone believes in you!

DAMN those 'devices'! We've done the Man on the Moon thing, how about addressing the housekeeping issues that accompany being a human!? dontknow

It was a sweet story to read. smile

Taking off from your sitch: Mr. Bliss has promised me that he will care for me gently when I'm old and infirm. When I'm losing my hearing and forgetting things. When my body totally betrays me and leaves me without my wits. He's pledged that he will love me and care for me through all of this.

I think he is very sweet for this pledge. Where he gets the idea that I'm going to be in this spot is beyond me. I intend to tend to HIM.

God's Will be done. Hugs, Pep! hug

Fully expecting it to happen, finally had my first resident frightened of me due to my size. Not that I'm a giant, just rather broad through the chest and shoulders.

Refused to take meds, so I sent in my CN. He said "Can you make sure that big, burly convict doesn't come in again?"

Holy CARP !

rotflmao

Now that's funny!

The year before Dad died, he announced he was getting married to "Tammy".
"Who's Tammy Dad?"
"The girl I'm going to marry."
"What does Tammy look like?"
"Pretty."
"Do I know Tammy?"
"Maybe, she works at this hotel."
"OK."
"I need my birth certificate so we can get married."
"OK."

My sister & I went to the charge nurse and asked about Tammy.
The CN spoke to Tammy (mid 30's) & Tammy explained to Dad (late 80's) they could not get married because she was already married.

Poor old guy. But, he was often lucid, and during those times he was sharp.
Dad called the nursing home ombudsman (number posted in every patient room) and complained he was being held against his will. That resulted in an in person ombudsman visit/interview.

Then, another time, a pair of men with a moving van showed up at the nursing home front desk. They informed the staff that they were there to move Mr Dad to his new home. Dad had a phone book. He called a moving company. He was going to make his great escape ....

Then, of course, there was THE CAR he wanted. He was really PO'ed we'd sold his car. He demanded we give him money to buy another car. We told him to work with the physical therapist, and as soon as he had recovered his balance and strength so he could walk to and get into/out of his car unassisted, we'd make sure he could get a new car.

I loved Dad in every phase of his life.
He was so sweet and so funny.
