What can I say? I'm still hanging in there. I did send the letter by e-mail. No, husband does not know. I just chose this route. Time will help.

Susan,
I think I am getting confused. Your H knows about the affair with OM, right? Does he know of your continued attraction to or withdrawl from the OM?
If the answer is yes to all of these questions, then let him help you. People want to be needed especially spouses. Let him help. It would do both of you a great deal of good. I know it is hard to accept help from people but think about this.
If the answer is no, then I would suggest that you be honest with H. He needs to know what he is dealing with. It will hurt him more later if you withhold this information.
You said he was trying and you are trying. Why not try together. It could even become fun [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] .
God Bless You and Your Family
When I discovered W's affair (8/1/99) I told her that I wanted to see an email from her to OM with me on the CC line. Never happened. She CLAIMS that she ended it. I've asked her about every 2 weeks since then, but it still hasn't happened.
Why? She doesn't want it to be over with him. This is her way of preventing an absolute break between her and OM.
If you really, truly want your H to help you and be on your side, there is not a more perfect opportunity than right now. Talk to him. Work on a letter from BOTH of you to the OM.
Slightly Sane
Thanks all for wondering. Yes I got a response to the closure letter. OM said it was the most painful thing he had ever gotten. Hubby is home and I guess all is well.

Susan --
Hopefully the OM got the message.
Now, get back to rebuilding that trust with your H. I know that you said you did not want to include him in the closure letter part. Is now the time to let him know what you've done -- breaking off from OM? It may show him the sign that he needs to support his efforts in reconnecting with you. It shows a positive effort toward regrouping the two of you. As a betrayed, ANY positive efforts, ANY signs are appreciated.
Okay, enough of the lecture. Chin up and keep a good thought...
e-mail if you wish
-- keystone
[This message has been edited by keystone (edited November 03, 1999).]
