I was watching a tv show called Trisha today. Her guest was a male stripper and his girlfriend. He claimed that he doesn't cheat on her.
Part of the show is conducting a lie detector test. They tested this male stripper and most of his statements were lies.
I was shocked someone would go on national television and try to beat a lie detector test But it can be an example of a wayward attitude; this man lied and lied to a national audience. Reminds me of Bill Clinton saying "I never had sex with that woman"

Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

If anyone would know, it is my beautiful Lgtex1...(see post above)
I was such an idiot. 2 Polys and all the while leading up to both exams, I tried to hide the truth.
If you suspect your W is not coming clean on the issues, don't request a poly, tell them they can schedule it, or you are going to. Then see the response you get.
If you are willing to fight for your marriage, a poly, and your methodical approach to it, are perhaps the only ways to get all you want to know out in the open. Then you can start on a clean slate and Build your Marriage.
I am so fortunate and blessed that is what Legtx1 chose to do.

Beating a poly is something that government spy agencies invest considerable time and resources into for their top secret agents. Unless you're married to a CIA double agent, chances are your WS isn't going to beat a poly!
Civil-liberties defence lawyers go to great efforts to avoid polys being admitted as evidence, because it makes it much harder for them to defend a client that's lying.
Polys work especially well when someone is lying about something that would be a cause of great emotional distress if exposed. A typical WS is probably more concerned about their A being exposed than a double agent is about being imprisoned and tortured...
