This has been top notch in Australian news of late... I am unsure if it has gained press in international news or not. I guess it would have in Italy.

I do not know the full details as to what has been disclosed in family court, only snippets. Regardless, I am horrified by the circumstances of these four children. Everyone here is talking about this.

These kids truly are the victims of this marriage breakdown.

Have they said what the circumstances of the other child's death were?

Sad for all involved, mom is obviously not acting maturely or modeling resilience.

No, the circimstances of the other child's death have not been released.

The mother is certainly not acting maturely... I actually thought her behaviour was pretty wayward. It is all about her, not the best interests of the children.

Sadly, the father is copping a lot of bad press here. And the two eldest girls have been trying to escape the Italian family home, pleading with the media to help them.

Father has signed a legal doc stating he will not press charges against the mother, and welcomed her to return to Italy to have access to the girls. She has not gone, stating she worries about the village view of her as they have been "poisoned" against her. The father has refused the mother's calls over recent days, saying he thinks the girls need to settle in before any contact.

I expect the mother will be on the news in the coming weeks, for an interview.
