This is a PSA for those getting back into the dating scene who may be vulnerable.

My DH's mother joined match.com. She met someone who wouldn't take no for an answer - he contacted her twice, she said no to a meeting, the third time she said yes (red flat #1).

They continued on a whirlwind relationship for a few weeks, he isolated her from her family, he did some really odd things.

She did not run a background check. She let him move in. She gave him keys to the house, the car, the alarm code, access to everything.

Her children got concerned and started checking on the guy and after some basic background work we found out he's not who he says he is. Thankfully, mom saw through the fog of lurve and ditched him last night.

But, it required a PD escort. He had weapons in her house, loaded, and hidden for whatever he had planned.

Just a word of caution to take things slow, background check, and listen to the red flags and don't fall into the fog of lurve. wink
