So I had posted about my ex and got a lot of support on waiting for someone stable and right for me. I was given the advice to post on here to get help with dates. I have tried online dating websites and not had success with those and I'm leery with online dating because I've found that many people lie about who they are. I am a Christian and want to meet a stable Godly man who enjoys being active and can make me laugh. Any advice or ideas on meeting new people. I have not dated in so long it feels like getting on a bike again after 30 yrs.

I really enjoyed my experience on online dating, I did my homework about internet safety, did a good profile about what was looking for, made my selection, started with emails, than graduate to phone calls and maybe meet in person. I meet just locals, not into long distance relationships.
Try to find meetup groups near you. If you live in a metropolitan area it is great, lots of singles groups with many different interests, many are great in planning fun stuff. It can be very fun. You get to meet many different interesting people.
