So does that mean I should quit texting her in the evenings to see how her day was?

Never said to not contact her, as long as it doesn't seem to bother or annoy her. If she is open to lighthearted communication, then by all means, communicate. Just don't force or manipulate her into conversations about reconciling that you KNOW she wants no part of right now. She knows your little tricks and methods, so don't even think about it.

Just talk like she's a friend, and keep it at that.

No pressure. No tricks.

Oh, and keep reading and working on you.

No, he got into the batter's box and took his swings.

So she shoots you down the 1st and 2nd time. Each time you hold to you plans and have that outing with your kids.

Suggest to the kids that they email mom pics of where they went. Suggest to the kids that they tell mom how much fun they had that mom should of been with them, that maybe mom can come next time.

Wife/mom sees family fun, shows the new you changes are sticking, has her feel she is missing out and gets tempted to accept an invitation.

Well, made it through Christmas. The kids seemed to enjoy it. They came over to my house for a couple hours in the evening. Wife seemed to like her gifts. It'll still go down as the worst Christmas ever. Ii hope to be able to look back at all of thus and say its the best thing that ever happened to my marriage.

I hope that as well. Keep your head up and fix your side of the street and in time she will see the changes aren't for show. I know it sucks because there isn't any set time or deadline but hang in there man. If you need some poems let me know!

I've already started thinking of valentines day. I'm really hating all of these holidays. I'm hating myself for pushing her to this.

Well, you should be hating yourself for it. Seems like that self serving attitude of yours that you have lived for so long is finally coming home to roost. Not a pretty sight, eh? Self awareness doth sometime sucketh.

Quit dreading these holidays. These holidays are perfect little windows of opportunity for her to see how you're working on changing yourself. And by changing yourself, I mean not changing just for the sake of trying to get her back, but changing yourself for your own personal benefit and to never allow this to happen again...no matter who you wind up with.

Just do it for you. Yeah, she deserved it during her marriage to you, but that is all but done. You need to accept this. Just do it for you.

She may or may not notice...no promises there. But you'll feel better for the efforts in improving yourself.

THAT one I can promise you.

That's a good question. I've never felt so clear headed. I know who I was and I know who I am now. I've never gone through such a humbling experience. I'm getting along great with my children.

My problem is I still keep trying to convince my wife to try again. I know its wrong of me, I can't seem to help myself. I love her and miss her more and more everyday. I wish I could stop.

How has she been? Is she still going through with the D?

She doesn't seem as angry. But still says she wants a divorce. Still hasn't pursued it any further though

That's a good sign and it gives you more opportunities to Plan A.

How has that been going?

Not many opportunities. I wish she would start to open up a little. I really wish she would read Dr Harley's books. Then maybe she would see the future I do.

Have you thought of creatively leaving them around? Buying her a kindle and downloading them on it? Just brainstorming here.
