OK.. not sure if this was mentioned anywhere or not .. but there is some GREAT android apps out there that could be used as a VAR.

Here is a search result of google play of the selection of free and pay APPS that fit this category. I am currently trying Sleep Talk Recorder. Its working great!

You can set the sensitivity of the voice activation and let it record all night. I am using mine to catch what my son says at midnight every night lol .. HE seems to talk in his sleep very often and we often wondered what he said when we go check on him. I will soon know.

THought I would add this here incase anyone cant afford to go buy a VAR and might need something right away until they get one. The only downfall i see is that its a good idea to keep your phone on a charger for this and that its your phone .. so you probably have to take it to work with you in the morning. Its great tho that it will appear to be off or idle and still record.
