Is there any way to record surroundings (audio) on an iPhone 4S without jailbreaking it?

Why not just use a VAR?

I have a landline VAR and it works great, however, he has not made any calls from our house even when he is alone. I suspect that something may be going on at work..which is why I need a software that records surroundings or that I can simply listen not necessarily record. He won't call or text another woman from his cell phone...he knows I have access to all of our cell phone records. And if I jailbreak his phone, he will figure it out.

You can buy a portable VAR that can be put anywhere. Most people put them under the front seat in the car. As long as the radio doesn't interfere with it, you should pick up any calls that are made. Check out radio shack or Best Buy

That's the thing he would never use his cell phone in the car either...he would only use his work cell phone which ONLY works inside his "workplace". I've tried to get a PI to watch him, but if you don't work there, you cannot be in there roaming around. So the only way is if I can listen as he makes phone calls at work and interacts at work..

he could have a 2nd phone that he uses to carry on the affair. It sounds far fetched but it's pretty common on here
