I am flying, she's driving, the town she grew up in is small, her graduating class has 17 people in it, by I guess people come from other years too. But no airport there.

I'm talking about putting a VAR in your wife's car right now. That way you can snoop to see what she's saying when she in alone in the car. We've had waywards talk to themselves in their car and have disclosed info about their AP. It will also pick up any phone conversations she's having. If I were you, I would hike over to Best Buy and pick up two VARs. Put one in her car where she won't see it (under her seat or under the dashboard might work for you - you'll have to check it out.) While you're out, pick up some velcro. You'll want to velcro the VAR so it doesn't move around. Make sure you dust the area to remove any debris that would cause the velcro to lose its sticky. You'll want to get two VARs so you can swap them out and always have a fresh one in the car while you listen to the old one.

Go get those VARs and see if you can get one into her car today. Also, while you're doing that, have a plan at the ready in case she busts you while you're planting it. Do you ride in her car on occasion? If she walks out and catches you, act like you're looking on the floor for something you lost. Or pick up a greeting card while you're out - some nice "thinking of you" card. Sign it and take it with you. If she busts you, grin sheepishly and show her the card. Tell her you were sneaking it into her car to surprise her when she leaves for work tomorrow. You don't want to get caught without an explanation. Wayward are suspicious people.

Excellent. Now, stunned, I want you to calm down and compose yourself. You are taking the first steps to saving your marriage, sir. This will require you to suit up and steel yourself to do the work. I think you have it in you. Take a deep breath and square up your shoulders. While you're getting your snooping tools in place, start thinking about Plan A. You've read about Plan A, correct? You want your wife to see you at your best. How about taking her on a picnic today? Maybe a walk in the park, or something else to get the two of you out of the house? What does she like to do? Plan a little date with her - nothing heavy, and keep the conversation light and fun. Get your plan together. It will help you tremendously to know that you are working with a plan.

I called a PI, he wants A LOT of money for a holiday weekend. Plus all expenses. I'm sorry I can't afford that. stunned, I am sorry for the reasons that have brought you here. I have a question for you. Can you afford a divorce? That is where you are probably headed.

My mom got divorced last year. Was about a grand. The PI I called wanted 3.5x that plus hotel, gas, food.
If it was in town, and not a holiday, it would have been doable.

If it was in town, and not a holiday, it would have been doable. The average divorce runs in excess of $10,000 when there are children, property, etc. But maybe you could get divorced for less and not hiring the PI would be a money saving option!

I'm not sure what your saying here?
Cause I currently can't afford a PI, just go for the divorce?
Or after reading the posts, you think it's worse than even I'm thinking? So just go for the divorce?

If it was in town, and not a holiday, it would have been doable. Can you hire one that lives close to this town? Maybe you could find one who will charge $999 for one days worth of surveillance? That way it would be $1 cheaper than a divorce and you could view it as a cost savings.

Or after reading the posts, you think it's worse than even I'm thinking? So just go for the divorce? You dismissed my point about the cost of the PI by saying that a divorce is cheaper, making it sound like your choice would be based on cost rather than importance. If you can't afford $3,500, then why not find someone closer who can watch her for one day? You should be able to get the goods in one day, no?

Oh I gotcha. Your saying don't put a price on trying to save your marriage.
The town she's going to has a population of less than 2000 people. They have one sheriff, no deputies. No PI's. The closest town with access is ours to the north. Or 5 hours to the south. The whole area is a barren wasteland.

I can't even think straight now, I've wracked my mind trying to figure out what I can do. I'd quit my job if I didn't know it would basically wreck a company and their 8 lives.

Who do you think she is having the EA with? Do you have a name? Have you tried to find him?
