hi all, ok I know nothing about the iphones. But really need to check spouses phone as she keeps it locked up tighter than fort knox now.

So first off, reading some of the forums I downloaded a copy of iTunes and shut off the auto sync, and have it set up to back up only im guessing.

I tried to practice with one of our kids iphones, but they have password protection on it, which I guess you have to have entered to even to a back up.

So heres the dilemma, I don't know the passcode, is there a way to get it, as she gets a text and goes to other room to enter it. Do I have to have it? or do any of the spy programs bypass this? Do I have to jailbreak it to install the spy program? What else do I need to worry about that i'm not seeing in doing the research on the darn phones? They seem to have so many security features, im not sure what else I can do? btw I believe its a 4s or a 5, how do I tell, but not even sure of that.

I only have access to phone while spouse is sleeping, so time is very limited.

you should not need passcode to back up phone, but for some reason if it is asking for it, use the wondershare program and run it. When you do it will ask you to get data from phone or from back up. choose from phone. this takes about 30 minutes to get the data.

It wont let me back up the phone without the passcode. sync is turned off. Like I said im kinda clueless, not sure what im doing wrong.

So is there a way to get the information off of a cheating spouses iphone 5 when you can't enter their password? He has his phone locked so I CAN'T find out what he is up to.

Have you checked phone records for a number? I would start there.

Passcode as in the 4 digit number to get into the phone or the actual itunes password?

If it's the 4 digit code, a few ways to get it (maybe).

1. Pick up the phone when she leaves it somewhere, then ask nicely what the code is because you want to see some game on it.
(obviously if she says no she is hiding a lot).

2. Wipe the screen of the phone off so it's clean, next time she picks it up she will leave fingerprints when she enters the code. At least this will give you some idea of the number that might ring a bell, and you can try the numbers in multiple order.
