Eight years ago I found out my husband was having an affair...in the last few years, it has been off and on again. This is with the same person...I cannot go to HR because he...has a code of conduct and he would be fired and I don't need that. How can I still want to love with this man who has caused me so much pain and grief?

Simple - You enjoy the comfort and security that his "sacred" paycheck brings you.

Hey! You get a paycheck with an engineer's salary and approximately one-half a husband! If that works for you, what need have you for advice from us?

I would give him exactly ONE MONTH to leave the job and if he is not gone, you should expose his affair at the workplace. In the meantime, his affair should be exposed to everyone, including the OW's family. Otherwise, you don't have a marriage. Part of the reason this has gone for so long is because you have covered up for the OW and your husband. You are part of the problem, Ma'am.

I lost my job in March and have been looking since. My marriage is absolutely my first priority but not his. I'm tired, drained, and feel like O have been robbed the last 8 years of my life.
