Well I haven't been around much...went back and forth between missing OM and wanting my marriage to be wonderful the way it was...mostly a combination of the two. Finally I made an appointment with my pastor's wife. It was amazing. We went into areas that I had not been willing to deal with.
One such item was the "soul tie". I had heard about it many times, but, this time it sunk in. I had a soul tie with OM. That was why I coudlnt' just let go and forget about him. Not because he was so wonderful or perfect or better than my H, but because we had been intimate and I had given a piece of myself to him. I also came to understand that because I had been sexually active very young that each time I had been with someone I had given a piece of myself away-leaving me fragemented.
To make a long story short, we dealt with each soul tie (from a Christian perspective) and I am still goign through a program to deal with sexual sin for myself. I have had very little contact with OM, and I realize that Harley is right when it comes to cutting off contact.
I have found that combining several different ideas about recovery and rebuilding seems to work best. I encourage all to do this for themselves, as I have found peace and restoration is just beyond the horizon!
I will keep in touch but honestly I don't have much reason to come here anymore. Take care everyone!
Tracy
