Second one shows how devastating porn is, especially in this world of high speed internet, and especially to adolescents (though not exclusively)
The good news in this talk is that there are actually people who are stopping their porn use. Usually the impetus is the fact that these guys are suffering from ED, directly because of their porn use.

Third is the internet site, www.yourbrainonporn.com, which has tons of data on the effects of porn on the human brain. Plus some great "recovery from porn" tips, and some blogs by guys who have gone through porn withdrawal.
I've been moderated for mentioning your brain on porn.
So, I just keep it to myself.

That's too bad, HHH. I did notify the mods upon posting this, so maybe this time.... Because I think the site is VERY useful (info, research, how-to-quit, blogs, etc.) And we need a message to counteract the "porn is harmless fun" mentality that exists today.

Well, the other thing I want to check on is problem users are often advised to do a 90 day P(orn)M(asturbation)O(rgasm) fast to clear the associations in their brains.
I've thought about writing the radio show to get Dr. Harley's thoughts on this advice, and how it would fit in with MB advice, if it would at all.

"Smart people believe weird things because they are skilled at defending beliefs they arrived at for non-smart reasons." - Michael Shermer

I think if it's approached as a 90 day fast, the problem won't be solved. Once the 90 days are up, one could get back to it. Dr. Harley recommends a lifetime fast.

Agreed, LTL... Porn use has so many effects with negative consequences, even for casual users, that its use should be eliminated permanently.
