It was my understanding that Plan B was to protect a BS while the WS was still in an affair.
Reading the thread about Plan B it also looks like the BS or WS should NC.
Are there any exceptions to the NC during plan B? If so, which are there?

No, there are no exceptions. At the start of Plan B the BS tells the WS that there will be no contact and takes steps to ensure that there is NC until the conditions of Plan B are met.
Why do you ask?
Have you read Dr H's article on Plan B? It should be clear from that that Plan B means NC. Dr Harley also give an example of when Plan B might be applicable even without an affair. Its purpose is essentially to protect one spouse from the abusive treatment by the other. "Protection" means "not having any interaction with the abusive spouse" - hence NC.

If the WS takes this step, it is clearly to punish and harm the BS. Are there any exceptions to the NC during plan B? If so, which are there? No. Because Plan B is no contact by definition. If there is contact, you are not in Plan B.
