Do it like Fred Rogers;

I love this.

Joke though it may be (I love XKCD comic strips!), Fred Rogers really was like this, by all accounts. When I was reading through anger management materials a couple of years ago, one of the books mentioned an author I researched, and it turned out that author was one of Fred Rogers' favorites. That got me looking into Mr. Rogers, and he really became one of my anger management heroes.

When Rogers became upset on the set, he immediately went off by himself and played the piano until he felt calm. He apparently knew how important it was to not let his anger hurt people.

By the way, there's a secret message about Fred Rogers in this original comic strip, if you'll visit it and hover your mouse over the picture:

Big surprise!

Contrast Fred Rogers' attitude toward anger with Mel Gibson's comment in the news just a few days before this comic originally ran:

(HHH, you sure made this thread a markos magnet: Fred Rogers, anger management, XKCD. Who knew all these topics could come together at once?)

XKCD is a thrice-weekly comic strip drawn by Randall Munroe.

Contrasted to the other stories out there about Mr. Rogers (Marine Corps/Airborne Ranger) - this one is believable, and consistent with stories from folks who worked with him... though it is a piece of satire.
