It's not typical in recovery for WW to express remorse. Recovery doesn't require remorse on the WW's part. All it requires is following the MB plan, and remorse is not a step in the plan.
More generally, it's a mistake to spend time trying to get your spouse to express a particular feeling or think a certain way; it's a distraction to the plan.
If you are serious about saving your marriage, you can't get it all on this forum. You've got to listen to the Marriage Builders Radio show, every day. Install the app! Married to my radiant trophy wife, Prisca, 19 years. Father of 8. Attended Marriage Builders weekend in May 2010 If your wife is not on board with MB, some of my posts to other men might help you.

Markos - Not sure if you've seen my threads the past couple months, but my WW (for more than a year unknown to me) has recently shown lots of remorse. I told her last night that I'm so glad to have a plan to put each other first and do follow the POJA. She started crying saying that she was sorry she didn't put me first and that she hopes it won't be a black cloud over our marriage if we can successfully reconcile. Just thought I'd share.
Can you elaborate on why this is not typical for a WW?

SK, the point is that one shouldn't pay much attention to remorse. And absence of remorse does not mean a couple can't recover. And the evidence of remorse is nice, but meaningless when it is not backed up by actions. Even a 5 year old knows how to "show" remorse when it will get them out of trouble. It doesn't mean they won't misbehave in the future.
