I told FHL I'd look after you this weekend, since she's away. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Things on my front are good. I was able to let H go off to work on Saturday without freaking out. He was a bit pissy with me Friday night, but instead of freaking out, I left the room and he calmed down.
For me, this is progress.
And you?

Things are OK. Kindof lonely on Saturday (bill was hunting all day and worked until 12:00AM) but I actually chatted with Holly, Susan & NB and it helped alot.
Yesterday I had to hear about hunting all day, as usual. We went to the bookstore again, but in the mall on the way there, he's 20 steps ahead of me, like it's a race or something and I just said "Hello, remember me? what's your rush", so he stopped and held my hand. We went into the bookstore, he went to the hunting section, I went to another, then we sat and had coffee so I could hear again about deer, he showed me pictures in the book and how is dreams of going on hunting trip someday.
Sometimes I just feel we have nothing to talk about. And of course I felt depressed that I had to ask him to slow down in the mall and walk with me, not in front of me, thinking my OM would do it without asking.
He noticed last night I was sad and he started the fireplace and said "come on let's cuddle".
It's just me, I know. Glad things are good with you ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

Hummmingbird...That racing ahead in the mall is a guy thing. I don't know how many times I have said, "I'm not a duck, so I don't want to follow behind you." Guys are on a mission in the mall.
The important thing is that he stopped, listened and reacted positively.
My H's dream is to sail, maybe around the world when he retires. As long as I have a decent home and enough of a nest egg not to be a burden to my children, I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen for him....except get on the boat.
Maybe I like solitude a little more than you do because I really like time to myself (it's so rare these days). But I think it is more important to support each other in your goals, interests and passions, rather than to expect to share all of them.
I mean if we liked to do exactly the same thing, maybe we would have the same personality, and our marriage in its totality would not work as well. We would not compliment each other because we would be too much the same. Just some thoughts.
And Hummingbird, (stern finger wagging here)if you allow your own emotions to be ruled by what may have been a bit thoughtless, but not hurtful act of your H walking in front of you, then you are teethering yourself to others. If they don't behave as you would want them to (and no one, not even one, does all the time) then you are allowing them to rule your emotions. Stop that. Seperate your emotions from anothers actions. Choose to be happy or move toward happiness on your own. Oh this is a hard lesson to learn, it took me years and I still slip and slide. But at least give this some thought and decide if you agree with this in theory.
Oh, and if you want to hear about my own romantic weekend. I spent Friday night alone at bball tourney with 3 daughters and daughter's best friend (whose Grandpa died that morning). At about 3AM, 4 year old puked all over me, so it was even dripping from my hair. H joined me Saturday, but I was so busy shuttling and washing uniforms, I barely saw him. Daughter (13) was weepy all weekend because these were her last games on the team. So Hummingbird, if you think your weekend lacked romance, you should have tried mine on for size.

------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
