I was doing a little casual reading at alJazeerra dot com (lol, I ended up there after googling Cheaterville...it's not like I'm a regular reader there) and the owner of cheaterville is interviewed. He is a former Marine and seemingly very controversial figure.

He's an internet vigilante. He also owns bullyville.

But recently, it appears, the bullies and adulterers he has exposed have consolidated their efforts and have gone after him. He deals with constant threats.

In the comments I loved reading how Jim supposedly destroyed the grandmother's that were berating and bullying Kate Goselin. Just like any wayward they attempt to minimize what they did and act like the "exposure" was so over the top. The logic that if their behavior wasn't that bad...who cares if it was exposed, just escapes them.

Cheaterville seems to be a great means of legally exposing affairs.

Wow, I love his methods for exposing the Kate Haters.

For now...cheaterville appears to be shut down so we'll have to recommend different one's like "she's a homewrecker", etc.

As a vigilante I suppose Mr. McGibney didn't like cheaterville being so easy used by stalkers to further abuse and bully their victims. It's got to be pretty hard to determine who is actually a stalker versus a legitimate betrayed person fighting for their marriage and relationship. At least on bullyville, victims being "exposed" as bully's don't really care that much but facilitating an abusive guy to call someone a cheating horror on cheaterville was maybe just too much to try to control.

Plus...having every entitled whiny wayward cheating person contacting him threatening to sue him and lying their little lying butts off about how they are just friends and not really cheating likely would drive anyone crazy. Jim's probably liking the idea of giving crazy wayward a wider berth.

As of sometime yesterday...Cheaterville is down again and routing to bullyville with a similar, if not the same, explanation.

since it popped back up active once before...it'll probably happen again whenever they work out whatever it is behind the scenes that needs working out.
