She is the Senior Instructional Designer at **edit**
I am a very creative person and can get hyper-focused on things. I am very easily distracted and have impulse control issues; along with marijuana I have problems with food too.
She did count on me and I let her down.

I can see how she wouldn't want bad publicity if weed was found in the home, with your daughter there. That is pretty reckless.
What makes you think that your relationship is not over? Has she said that the door is open for you?

So as for empathy, you could work on it. Imagine how she would feel if she saw the post of her position, and knew that I could Google it and figure out her name. So as you post, which is good, try to think of keeping her and you anonymous. Okay?
