My wife of 39 years and I are trying to work thru her infidelity; the problem is she had an affair with our son-in-law! How do we avoid contact with him without losing contact with our 3 grandchildren. We live close and are involved in their lives?

Welcome to MB.

If rebuilding your marriage is your priority, then you must be NC with the son-in-law.

That's all there is to it, really. It's up to you to make that happen.

You might benefit from reading through the story of Delta_: http://forum.marriagebuilders.com/ubbt/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2350318

Her husband had an affair with her sister.

I believe she went on Dr. Harley's radio show once or twice - if you can find the dates in the thread it would be good to listen to those.

If you are serious about saving your marriage, you can't get it all on this forum. You've got to listen to the Marriage Builders Radio show, every day. Install the app!

Married to my radiant trophy wife, Prisca, 19 years. Father of 8.
Attended Marriage Builders weekend in May 2010

If your wife is not on board with MB, some of my posts to other men might help you.

There must be NC. No way around it.

What does your daughter have to say about her WH cheating on her?
