Had this sent to me the other day. It really says where I am right now and I'm actually happier for it. It is time that I stand on what I believe, even for the restoration of my marriage. Here goes:
One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
But Lord, they are too big for feet."
"My child, He said in a somber tone,
For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made Me wait.
You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know,
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped you on your butt.
Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand."
This summer I ended up on my butt and I'm glad I did. My H was trying hard and it wasn't enough, or so I thought. There comes a time when we must just accept things and move on. Thank God I am still moving on with my H.
Hope you enjoy the new take on "Footprints".
------------------
eyes wide open
Please Help,
Your welcome! Figured there must be someone out there who could use the message of this poem. I guess I'd rather be on my butt in the center of God's will then standing strong in my own feeble strength.
------------------
eyes wide open
I look at my sand and see the round neat prints with long trails all around them.
Sometimes Jesus dragged me kicking and screaming whether I wanted to go or not! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
And I thank the Lord every step of the way.
------------------
1Co:2:4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1Co:2:5: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
