This is a song that always makes me think of my husband. I heard it on Valentine's Day evening in the grocery store and I started bawling... I don't know the name of it or who sings it but part of it goes like this...<P>You picked me up from off the floor when you entered my life, you said "Your much to young your life ain't begun, let's walk for awhile", Since then I never looked back it's almost like living a dream and ooooo I love you.<P>That is part of it. It says somthing in there about "I made you my wife". It is so romantic. It is about this woman saving a man from his own self-destruction. Well, the reason it makes me think of my h is because he always told me I saved him from becoming a drunk and what not. He always said marrying me was the best thing he ever did. If anyone knows who sings the song or the name of it... Please let me know! That way I can find it and listen to it in the privacy of my own home and bawl my eyes out instead of at the grocery store!<P>~Woozy<BR>ledadeer@hotmail.com

Lyin Eyes is a good one but how about "Wasted Time"? UGGGGGG!! Love "The Dance" by Garth - downswing by same artist is "Victim of the Game". How does everyone else feel about the !!!! song Sting has out now - "Brand New Day" - loved it til I heard the words the day after I made my discovery. ENOUGH ALREADY<P>------------------<BR>

Is the other Eagles song you're talking about "Wasted Time"? Used to be one of my favs. The Dance is good but the downside by Garth is Victim of the Game.<BR>Is anyone else out there SICK of hearing Sting's Brand New Day. I loved that song til I listened to the words the day after I found out about my H.<P>------------------<BR>

I've got two right now:<P>HOW'S IT GONNA BE - Third Eye Blind<P>"Hows it gonna be, when you don't know me any more. How's it gonna be, cause I don't care" - There's more, it's right on.<P>There's one by Alainis Morriset (spelling?) about:<P>"I'm here to remind you, of the mess you left when you went away. It's not fair, to deny me, of the cross I bear that you gave to me - you ought to know."<P>Don't know the name of it tho - but it's about someone replacing someone else.<P>My H used to turn these off if we were in the car driving and they came on.

I thought this was a fun "blast from the past" thread! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> Are any of these people still around? I remember alot of them. Back then, my screen name was Anny.

Hope you all are doing well! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I found out about my WH's first A when I found a love letter from my "friend" to my H addressed to his work. Inside she had written out the lyrics to the Amy Grant song "I will remember you". This was ten years ago. A couple of months ago I was in Hobby Lobby, happy as a lark, and that song came on. I left the store in tears. I avoid it like the plague.

Also, I found out about A number two by finding a receipt for concert tickets to Montgomery Clift. Whenever I hear that guy it conjures up images of my WH and the OW enjoying their little trist whilst I was at home being super-mom. Can't listen to Clift either.

Jen, it's not your fault. Some days everything feels like a trigger. I'm going back into hiding cuz everything on my mind is such a buzz kill!

You don't have to go back into hiding, Oak. This didn't kill any buzzes for me. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I hope you feel better, Hon! Take Care...Jen

Cont'd from above.

I wonder if I'm seeing things in a twisted way to mention this song. It is a lovely, beautiful song. But I heard it the other day and it was one of my favorites. Nearly started crying. It will be a favorite again some day.

Just like Heaven - The Cure

"show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream" she said
"the one that makes me laugh" she said
And threw her arms around my neck
"show me how you do it
And i promise you i promise that
I'll run away with you
I'll run away with you"
Spinning on that dizzy edge
I kissed her face and kissed her head
And dreamed of all the different ways i had
To make her glow
"why are you so far away?" she said
"why won't you ever know that i'm in love with you
That i'm in love with you"

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You're just like a dream

Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone alone
Alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl i loved
And drowned her deep inside of me

You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Just like heaven

Whats after forever?
