This is a update to the Net Romance thread.
I guess I've move into a state of hope/happiness/confusion.
W and I went over our ENs together. Probably the most honest and open talk we've ever had. Turns out, over the past couple of weeks I've started meeting most of her needs "in ways the she likes". Thank you HNHN. She's also been meeting mine. I'm very happy right now.
So why the confusion?
W asked me about a month ago after one of my emotional outbursts, "Why are you upset now? I've found some friends and they make me happy. Why are you upset?" I didn't know why at the time.
Honestly, she was happy, glowing actually. But, I think even she would have to agree that it was because OM was meeting her top 3 ENs. ENs that I had not met in years. I was seeing the *REAL* woman I had married for the first time in years and I fell hard for her all over again. This is a bit weird, I know that most Spouses turn into someone else and you want the old one back.
So I guess I was feeling a little neglected and jealous (this was OMs doing after all - not mine).
She's coming back to me now, though!
W came to this forum and read my previous post (and replies). She responded to me via email (we seem to do this better than RL -- is this normal?) She started out very defensive, but backed off after some thinking. She showed me email from OM (when I got home) where he told her that he understood why I would think what I did and that for the sake of our marriage they should back off each other (paraphrased- I wish I paid more attention to wording). W said she didn't show me the email to try to justify anything, but just thought I should see it. She said she was glad I found the MB forum, but that OM has been her forum. She said she sent email to all her friends telling them she wouldn't be online anymore.
I know that this is the MB thing to do, but I am still worried about her. She doesn't have anyone to talk to now. It's going to hurt. We haven't talked since the email. Things seem o.k. I don't want to press her about things, I think we'll talk more at some point. We have relatives over this weekend so we'll at least be occupied -- weekends have been bad for me lately because that's when I'm there to notice how much she's online.
I really hope we'll be one of the success stories on this site. Thanks.
- Jeff
[This message has been edited by jeffers (edited June 08, 2001).]

Wow, What progress!!!
Hurray, good job!
How wonderful that you are so many steps ahead of the game. Your wife is trying to communicate with you very honestly - AND - you have the knowledge of her emotional needs.
Meet ALL of her emotional needs, and NO lovebusters! Keep it up, build up that bank account!
Don't focus on the affair - but on the marriage. Don't make any disrespectful judgements - just be the best husband you can be!
TnT
