I just thought this is FUNNY and wanted to share this one.
My current H moved out, living with OW, going on past 10 mths now.
My 1st ex from approx. 20 yrs ago has been calling and writing a lot, since he found out H left. Ex knows he really was low and treated me horrible, ex keeps apologizing and making excuses for his past behavior. I told him I really don't even want to go there, what's in the past is done, finished, over with. He was never even a father to his son, but a disappearing act. I have enough dealing with devastation of what I'm going through with H, surely I don't want to deal with the ex. Ex tells me he still loves me and has suffered and paid dearly for his BIG mistake all these years. Ex has some illusion in his head that we can get back together again and he can do it right the 2nd time around, NO way. Ex put me through such HELL that it took me over 20 years and I was still leery, scared of remarrying again. I should have stuck with my instincts on this one because now I'm going through pure HELL with H & 2nd marriage. Will I ever learn.
Ex has been driving me crazy, I don't even answer the phone anymore. Believe me, I don't think I could come close to describing what ex put me through. Get this, when I was in labor with our son (3 min. apart labor pains) I had to drive him to his friends house first. I waited around because I thought GEEE, he should want to be with me for the birth of HIS son. I finally had to leave and drive myself (about 25 miles) to the hospital. I even stopped on the way and called him to give him another chance. I wasn't going to beg, yell or insists, but just give him a last change. He said if I couldn't drive myself he would see if one of the other guys could come and take me (DUH!) I said never mind I'll take myself. So I drove myself, he never did show up at all and he MOVED out while I was the hospital. Well, after all these years he finally told me why he never came and wasn't there for the birth of his....he was having a good time with another women!!! So too bad if he has suffered...I did extremely.
Anyway, isn't this ironic and amusing. I thought it was worth a laugh. I kind of, maybe, just a tiny bit even feel him (my stupid compassion always gets me in trouble). Ex told me he remembered the last thing I said to him "pay back's a B***H". Ex said you were definatey RIGHT.
It's true what you put out comes back to you. Boy, is my H in for it....he's been dishing it out like CRAZY.

[This message has been edited by Hurtwife (edited June 03, 2001).]

It is funny...and sad. Just an indication that even when there appears to be no remorse, it really might just be buried...
