My wife calls at 12:30. Work started at 12. She has a partner, who was also with her on the overnight party trip. Wife asks frantically if I can go pick this girl up and drive her to work. I was at the park with my kids.<P>She says the girl forgot that she didn't have her car today, so has no way to get to work. She was starting the 5 mile walk at that time. Lent car to boyfriend yesterday.<P>Wife says "she is already in enough trouble with the boss, if she doesn't get here right away, she'll be in more trouble". Just then the boss (my friend) comes by on roller blades. Wife says "oh no, he's coming here". I said "I'll call you back". So he left on his way somewhere else, and I called back.<P>Wife says "so are you going to get her?". I said "I have my two kids at the park, has she ever heard of a taxi?". My wife says "yeah, I know, she isn't too bright". I said "call her and tell her to get in a taxi and get into work". Wife says, "she won't do that".<P>So I said "well, then I am not coming to get her if she is that dumb". Wife says, "OK, I'll talk to you later".<P>So, where are all her friends that have no kids, OM, his buddies, her partying crowd, etc.? Why would it be me that she wants to pick her up? I am playing with my two kids.<P>Could I move to another section of the planet where there is really life?<P>

So your WS wants you to play taxi for a friend that helps her cheat on you???? Some peaple have no clue. I say let her loose her job. Why did she call you? You're the only one who has any common sense, is decent enough, reliable enough, and unfortunately, I think gullible enough (so she thinks) to pack everything in with your kids to pick up this girl.<P>I think it's kind of funny that the only one she seems to call when she's in a pinch is you. I think she's in for a rude awakening when she gets the Plan B letter.<P>P.S. Doesn't this "girl" has any other friends besides your wife? Doesn't she have a family? Oh, that's right, she's part of the partying crowd. Everything is fun and games until real life knocks at the front door. Incredible story.
