Good Lord .. some people!
I think you should string some cans outside your bedroom window in the bushes, if available. Or ... even better, hang a can of red paint above a close by tree with a rope-on-the-ground trigger. KaBoom! LMAO!!!!!
You like?
[This message has been edited by Resilient (edited August 19, 2001).]

Wow Wee, this would scare the BeJesus outta' me!! I hate watching scary movies because I'm the type that has vivid dreams of being pursued by a demonic character.
And.....if you both of you think that it could be the OW, then at least one of you could be right. Intuition seldom lies. Dang, I have goosebumps....
------------------
Time heals all wounds as long as you DON'T pick at them!

How about a motion detector light?
I experienced a similar incident. My brother-in-law and girl friend were in from out of town. They went out on the deck at 3 in the morning to smoke. H and I were in bed (we had to work in the morning). OW approaches them and ask what my H was doing. Duh? But of course she's always lurking around. She just doesn't know when to stop. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/cool.gif)

If I were you I'd also be concerned that you have someone stake your house out. Someone other then OW.
------------------
He loves not who does not show love.
----William Shakespeare

Absolutely zorweb is right. Don't take something like this lightly just because you think it is the OW. And whatever "YOU" do, do not go outside when you hear noises.
In our town of 10,000, just the other night, right down the street from where I live. A couple who had been having marital problems were at home just getting ready to start the day. The wife told the husband she heard noises coming from the backyard, and insisted he go out and check it out.
Well, husband goes out the back door to see who is there and gets shot 4 times. Once in the head, once in the back, and once in each shoulder. Husband lived(thank God it was a small caliber gun the assailant used).
Upon completion of the police investigation it was found that the wife had known the assailant(possibly even had an A with him)and paid the guy to kill her husband so she would be free to have her flings. Very messy ordeal.
You never know what is gonna unfold in a situation where someone is messing around your house. Never go outside to check it out. Buy security lights, buy a dog, buy a gun, whatever you need to do to protect your home and family. But do not assume it is someone innocent. If they are around your house in the middle of the night they are up to no good PERIOD.
My wife asked me to go check on a noise in the back yard not long after this incident. I laughed at her and asked if she had someone waiting out there. We had a good laugh, but I did "not" go outside. I figure I stand a better chance letting someone come inside where I have my guns lol.
jdmac1

You need to report this incident to the police. Not to worry you but you never may know who the person was outside your window.. and who the OW contacted.. You and your husband are not safe.. REPORT THIS, IMMEDIATLEY.
{The ESFJ in me is taking over=)}
------------------
Semper,
Husband2You
*****
Don't make me promises
Baby you never did know how to keep them well
I've had the rest of you
Now I want the best of you
It's time for show and tell
'All or Nothing' O-Town

Not a neighborhood cat with a beeper collar? Hm..... ok, OW cat burglar, forgot to leave her beeper at home, maybe she was on-call..... Either way, if you have dirt right next to the house or sand or something make it wet incase they leave footprints. At least you might be able to tell if it is male, female, or animal........
Seriously, please be careful.
L.

I'm really glad you let the police know about it.. eases my mind.. You never know.. what type of violence or actions the OP is going to take when things like affairs take place.. so a note of caution to everyone.. be careful and safe.. and keep a sense of security about you at all times until the embers finally go out.
If you have a fence in around your house..
put a lock on the gate..
if you don't then put down some wet dirt, as orchid recommended so you get foot prints.
Cans and strings is another good idea.. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
A trip wire set to about 6 inches across access points makes a good deterrent also. (paint it orange though.. so your utility meter readers don't sue you for tripping over it.
Do you have a big [censored] dog or one of those little yippers that barks at everything?
Inform your neighbors of a prowler in the area..
no other details.. just a prowler..
the little ole lady across the street sees EVERYTHING.. (first place I'd go when I was doing an investigation.. was seek out the widows and single mothers at home alone, there eyesight is indespenseible).
BE SAFE. I'll post another thread later. With some tips and guidlines to follow.. for everyone to think about in relation to things like this.
my wife and I believed that the OM staked out our bedroom window on several occassions also.. weeks before he went to jail... so Keep your eyes and ears open.
Husband2you

------------------
Semper,
Husband2You
*****
Don't make me promises
Baby you never did know how to keep them well
I've had the rest of you
Now I want the best of you
It's time for show and tell
'All or Nothing' O-Town
