Any of you willing to share your "special Song" with me?
I was at a club a few days after I found out, and the song "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton came on. I just started balling right there on the dance floor...fell to the ground. I had to go outside. That song is so meaningful to "us"... Many of slow dances, wedding, prom....
Also, I was in my car the other day and the song (not to sure of title) "Take A Look at Me" by Phil Collins...
"How could I just let you walk away,
Just let you leave without a trace,
....Sonething something something..
Your the only one, Who really knew me at allllll...
So take a look at me now, Cause Ill still be standing here.
You coming back to me is a chance I take,
And thats what I've got to face...

Yeah that one song!
Makes me cry just typing it.

Can any of you relate to this?
~Heather

Heather,
It is kind of slow here on the weekends. But I can relate. The Phil Collins song hit me hard. H loves Phil Collins so it has even more meaning.
For me, I did not listen to music for about 3 months. Not even the news in the car. Couldn't stand any kind of music. I have a six year old so hearing digimon and pokemon tunes were about all I heard at that time.
Now I can listen to music. I had to reconcile myself that it is not everyone else's fault that I have this problem. So I listen to tunes and hum along like before. Still some hurt.
Song's about infidelity hurt a lot and they are very common. A lot of those country western songs are hard to listen to, good thing I like rythm and blues but those contain a lot of sad songs to, even soft rock. Oh well can't get away from it. So I went to instrumental but then the ones that I knew the lyrics to came back and played in my head!!!!!
Music comes from the heart and right now that is where a lot of our problems are based on. So either I clam up and go sulk under a rock or I sing along and make myself go through this. I have chosen the later. It does help with the healing.
That song about Me & Mrs. Jones and songs like that still make me switch stations!!!!!! LOL!!
L.
It's 3 months since D-day, and I can't listen to anything. They are all sad to me. I switched to Christian radio, which keeps me away from the sad stuff, and picks me up. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Every song I heard for the first 2 weeks - before I got smart and turned them off - duh!!! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif) - was terribly depressing. And movies and many tv shows with romance, sex, infidelity... are the same way.

Phil Collins also has a more positive song that hits home for me and it has a great beat. Don't Let Him Steal Your Heart Away.
You were lonely and you needed a friend, and he was there at the right time with the right smile.
Just a shoulder to lean on, someone to tell you it will all work out alright.
But he's no good for you, He'll make you think your whole life's been leading to this.
But whatever you do, think about me oh and don't be fooled by his kiss...
...And don't pack my suitcase, I'll be back.
Don't take my pictures off of the wall, oh did you hear me.
Don't let him change a thing, cause I'll be back. Just tell him to pack his things and get out of your life.
And just give me one more chance I'll show you I'm right, you know I'm right!
Anyway, the hardest songs for me to hear are the lovesongs on the CD that my H made for the OW...ICK!!!
