Mail the letter to the address that you have with a note to the postmaster to "please forward"?

Myself, I get fairly nostalgic at times. I start doing searches online for former school friends and such. I will admit though, that I haven't thought about that in a while.
When things weren't going so great between H and I, I was doing alot of searching for old friends. I did even more searching when H and I were separated (including to my 'first' - how sad is that??? - thankfully he's living on the opposite end of the country whew!).
Let's see how much psychoanalyzing I can do here... hehehe... I'd say, that over time, we tend ot forget the bad. So, when we look back at the 'good old days' it's b/c we've forgotten the bad. Then there are the people from that time. All we remember is the good, right? So I've gotten in touch with these people, trying to 'relive' (if you will) the 'good' times that were had. Impossible really, if you think about it.
It did keep me feeling better for a while, but it certainly never solved any of the problems I was having in my life at the time. It just kept me from dealing with them for that much longer.
Karen
i think i need to clarify on this one LOL
im sitting here the other night about 10:30 pm and the phone rings it was a penpal of my spouses from 7 years ago calling for what reason i do not know ....... my question should have been worded more like this
why would someone after 7 years search for someone that was just supposedly penpals unless there was something more or that this person felt there was something more than just being penpals i know that after 7 years i would no serch for someone that i worte a couple of letter too this person went to great extents to get this home number and when they finally called they used a fasle name to give over the phone aftera ll they called collect and by using the false name led me and my spouse to believe that it was a friend ( why would they do that unless they were hiding something?????) why would they even go to the trouble of getting our number???
then i ask spouse who this person was cause i had no clue and the response is i dont remember who they were i just remember writing a couple of letter .......
kinda hard to swallow that one
i know being how i am that after 7 years im not going to go tracking someone down unless they had a profoud effect on my life in some way ........
and i think most of us are that way also
so please feel free to let me know what ya think and sry for the confusion on last post
