Wow,
This is definitely not my year. Raced in after work a few minutes ago--checked the mail and my H has been layed off from the airlines because of the terrorist attack.
How will we survive financially? I talked to him for a few minutes--he doesn't sound too concerned yet....of course it definitely will affect the amount of child support I will get, if he doesn't have a job.
I don't think I can take anymore. I won't be able to support my family without his help. He has been staying in hotels since April....and our debt is really high.
My house payment and car payment is more than I make. This will be interesting.
I have to run and take my daughter to soccer and then I have open house at school. I really don't feel like talking to parents tonight.
I feel unusually calm...I don't think things can get much lower.
My oldest daughter went back to work today. She said it went ok. We will need that income now. Off I go.

'Missouri, I am so, so sorry! I hope this brings your husband a little more to his senses. Has he been given the option to move to a regional? How far up the seniority list is he--any chance he'll be called back soon? Is he a captain or an FO?
I'm going to say a prayer for you right now. You and your family are in my thoughts.
Rose Red
Rose Red,
Thanks so much...this really is a shock. He is on a DC9--copilot. He is hoping to have until March. He said that the flight attendants are getting layed off too---at first they said a large number and their union fought it--so it was lowered.
Hope that happens with the pilots. He has been flying with them a little over a year.
I have really got to run. What next???????????

Hopefully OW will be disenchanted with laid-off WS and will drop him.
Well, there isn't much use in having FAs outnumber the pilots--only a certain number can fly at one time, right? ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/confused.gif)
I have seen on the news that corporate jets are being used much more now as people try to increase their security while flying. Maybe this would be a possibility...?
Thinking of you.
Rose Red

I am so sorry. This seems to be so typical - man leaves his family, then gets laid off, sometimes, as in my H's case, perhaps never to get another job. My H has been out of work now for close to a year and a half. Unfortunately, once they leave their kids they have a lot less motivation to return to work, especially if the OW can support them. Before the affair, my H would have taken just about any job in order to support his family.
