Someday the music must end. But what a dance it's been. I would not have traded this dance with you for anything. Yes, it is that important to me. I see the video playing right now in my head. It shows all the laughter we shared in years past. The good times.. our wedding day.. and then night. The birth of our children, how happy we were. Watching them grow. The sad times.. the death of our baby [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] oh how sad. Parents passing.. yours and mine.. we could not believe life could be so bad. Ten zillion things in between, more good than bad. Now we arrive at today.. this is much worse than all the other bad.. I do not want the music to stop.. but the band is tired.. But it has been quite the dance.

JD, that was beautiful.<P>My H and I used to say that we could get through anything together (and we have been through quite alot). Someday I hope to look back and say we got through this as well...<P>You sound like you need a hug today.<P><<<<<<<<JD>>>>>>>>>><BR>HbH

JD - I bookmarked this one. What a sentiment about not trading it for anything. <P>Are you okay? Did you mean specifically today, or just generally the present?<P>- Tom

jd, beautifully put. I've done the same endless reminiscing myself. It has been quite an adventure. I read somewhere one question that a BS should ask themselves in evaluating whether or not they want to try to re-build a marriage was something like "If you could go back in time and re-live your life together without the ability to change anything and knowing how bad it was going to get would you marry her all over again?". My answer to myself, in a heartbeat was "You bet I would".

Thanks, hbh, faith, tmmx, stillhanging,<P> Thanks so much for the hugs and kind words. As you can tell I need them today. Will it ever stop?<P> Stillhangin, ya know I have often wondered if I would go back and marry her again. At times I think not. But in reality I would in a minute. Of course I would change MANY things about myself the second time around. Honestly, even if I had to go through this again, I would still do it. I LOVE THIS PERSON. Always will I am sure.<P> But that is NOT enough is it? When you look honestly? My feelings for her just aren't gonna make a difference. She has changed, and will have to change again to love me again.<P> jd

Thanks EWO,<P> Sure, send whoever you think might help. I don't know about the frying pan, but maybe a nice gentle SLAP [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]!<P> jd<p>[This message has been edited by jdmac1 (edited September 28, 2001).]

Funny, I was gonna say I'd come give her a slap, and then thought that sounded a little too hostile. Figured butterfly's frying pan would be a safer bet. Look, the band kept playing when the Titanic went down, right? Let the music play itself out...I think I still can hear a few strains... start humming the tune...maybe others will chime in. I haven't heard the fat lady yet. I was gonna give the Was it over...? speech from Animal House but now have a mind blank. Anyway, hang in there, kay?

Hey maybe we should form our own company. You can be the poetic one, I'll be the funny one, and medic can be... can be... what you want to be medic? Oh, I know, the sporty one! (think you can keep that down to the speed limit boy?)Now all we need is a name...and, oh, capital...and maybe a sound business plan. I better go get to work on that....

Um... Speed limit boy?<P>Hey, I drive an ambulance, the speed limit for me is as fast as the damn truck will go!!! Guess I kind of forgot that I was in the Trans playing on a nice sunshine filled day?<P>Maybe I should invest in a dash red light for the car? I own the company and am entitled to a red light and siren. Hum... Gina!!! Christmas is coming!!!<P><P>------------------<BR>"It's not over till we say it's over! I know the need for speed when you're driving one of those cars. I used to have a firebird, a very reeedddddddd firebird. And then the kids came along and I traded my firebird for a minivan...hey, that has the makin's of a good country n' western song... Traded my firebird for a caravan...the day my mom got out of prison... (I know, it needs work).

Hey Debbie,<P>Yeppers, my Trans is red. I bought Val a Stealth for a wedding present back in 1994. It was red, I really wasn't into red at the time, but, she liked it and I was *in love*... so. My Z28 was black and gold, but somehow, if it's a sports car, [other than my Z] it has to be red. She always called the Stealth "arrest me" red. When she first saw the Trans, she almost pooped her pants!!! "You hate red!!!" Darlin' many things have changed. Now I call my car "Pull me over and give me a warning and let me go" red. I was really lucky. The cop must have been having a good day.<P><P>------------------<BR>"It's not over till we say it's over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H*ll no!"
