How do you erase the web sites visited in the address bar at the top of your screen? I have tried right clicking and hitting the delete key and they don't go away....I looked on the menu path for a prompt to erase....can't find anything...looked in internet options....nothing...help...feel dumb but need to erase a couple of sites on my home computer.....
(monitoring software addresses...)
Thanks
[ November 03, 2001: Message edited by: faith4us ]

Try going to tools/internet options/clear history. I just did this, and it worked for me.

Is it internet explorer or netscape ?
On I.E, Favorite >> Tools >> Internet Options push "Clear History" and also change the setting to 0. You might want to "Delete Files" too.

Netscape ... Edir >> Preferences >> "Clear_location_bar" while you are at it you might want to clear_history too.
What operating system you are running Window NT, XP, 98 or Mac ?.
There are still some clue left that you might want to do clean up too.
Why if could help me out ? and how savy is SO in computer ?.

One more on I.e
under Internet Options get Content tab, AutoComplete ... turn off the auto complete on the Web Address .... otherwise by typing www.m will bring up the URL.

Hi Faith,
I'm just a bit worried. I worry what you will be seeing when you receive the emails or whatever may come from your H's activity on his computer.
I just want you to prepare yourself, I know you've thought about this a lot, but hearing or seeing the A activity first hand is so much more hurtful than via third party or soft evidence. Very devistatingly real.
Please take good care. We're here for you, Hon.
Love,
Jo

Did you test the email function? You know, use that computer awhile and make sure it sends out the reports when it's supposed to. Also I don't know what operating system you are using, but my starr program will NOT capture screen shots under Windows ME.
If yours is the same then you should turn off screenshots. Otherwise you are going to have a bunch of gobbledy [censored].
Luck to you
jd

Thanks for the heads up....he does have Windows ME on the home computer he will be taking with him....so I should turn off screensnaps.....yes, I am getting the file but unfortunately right now my business computer will not allow me to access the internet and I can't open up any of the "test" data I have been sending to myself...yes, it appears that the system is sending me the files as requested....I just can't connect to any of the web sites right now because my internet connection is not working.....I will get this fixed....it did show me a message H sent to the bulletin board of his fantasy football site....that was encouraging....
Resilient: Your thoughts just put a big knott in my stomach and I know you are so right...I am in for a world of hurt when I see what he is really doing and what he hasn't been able to confess to me he is doing...I know....but you know, I have to really know so that I can make some sound descisions for myself and our children.....he will never admit anything to me.....I need to know for myself....and this will help me decide what I should be doing.....try to save the marriage or realize that nothing I do will save it and go ahead throw in the towel.....I will have to deal with the truth when it hits me between my eyes....in my heart I already know the truth.....thanks and I hope you guys will be here with me to pick up the pieces......I will need you all more than ever.....thanks again....
Dianne

Dianne,
I hope you really do realize the pain you will have. Nothing you have felt now will compare to knowing the truth. Not even close.
But, you DO have the right to know what the truth is. Just make Sure you have whatever support you can close by. Believe me I know.
jd

Just a suggestion here. Save off, or (preferably) print the files when you get them, just in case. It'll also keep you clear on the facts of EXACTLY what transpired at a later date. At times like these when emotions are out of control, it's often VERY difficult to remember exactly what DID happen.
The other folks here are correct about the horror involved. I was monitoring my wife's activities and after I caught her leaving a VM for OM at a hockey game and we had a huge fight, she ran right into the office and emailed his cell trying to arrange a meeting (and then left), at which point I read her message back to her. Probably shouldn't have given away my source, because she continually changes her email password now and is much more careful, but at least she knew that I knew.
Best of luck, my prayers are with you.
Kev

I have never had them mailed to me because I have access to his computer, but when I retrieve them, I get them in HTML.

I wonder if you set the log size limit higher if it would capture the screen shots? I have mine set at 99999 and it quit running out of room and stopping the report at that level. I have version 3.03 on there now and I know there another update after that.

I would rather be hit over the head with the truth than live in the darkness. Knowing that SOMETHING is wrong and not knowing WHAT it is, is more painful to me than knowing the truth. At least that way I know what my options are and can make an informed decision about my life.
Dana
[ November 03, 2001: Message edited by: MelodyLane ]
