Fog,
Don't know whether you have written and sent no contact letter yet. I was where you are one year ago today. I did it for me, my wife and children.
It was very difficult because I keppt thinking what about the passion. I realized soon after the letter was sent that a huge weight was lifted and I was free to love my family agaijn. Do I ever think of OW, yes. But I know in my soul that I was lost at that time. Give yourself a present from Santa and send that letter.
Mark

FLPS, Welcome and I hope it is going better for you...and just a thought,IF you write and send the no-contact letter(hopefully after your W reads it),the Correct response from the OW is NO response. That's the point...to have no more contact...so her response should not be an issue for you...Consider your W's response when she reads your letter and realizes you did this for her and your family...That should be the only response you are concerned with...just MHO

FLPS,
Listen to wounded. Just do it. What do you hope to gain. You are a fence sitter and a cake eater. Just a reality slap from one who knows.
Is it going to hurt, yes, will you be sad, yes. What have you done to your family. I'm amazed that some women actually stay after they know there is continued contact. My wife is a saint. I never would have put up with her doing that to me.
Get SAA, read. Do it before it is too late.
I'm being hard on you because I was there. I put my wife through a lot of unnecessary grief and pain for my selfish wants. I thank God she believed in me. I promised that I would try to help someone else get over the hump.
I'll be posting to help you get through the withdrawal.
Fortunately my wife never mentioned anything to my children. It would have crushed them. It's hard for kids to get over the fact that their father isn't someone to look up to.
That said, take a deep breathe, and write that letter.
I'm cheering you on.
Mark
