I've been home with my daughter all day. She was a little sick. My W is out with friends. Seems to be the routine. I can't wait until Xmas is over, that's when I respond to the D papers. My W is in for a dose of reality. I won't go into details. Hard times ahead, but at least it's coming to a climax. Things will change soon, one way or another.
sad dad

I just got off the phone with my WH and 20yo S, son has been away from his girlfriend for 4 months and wants us to give him some money that we have set aside for him to pay for the girlfriend to come here for Christmas. That is not what we had intended for this money. Son got himself in over his head with a cell phone and talking to much, and just never having enough money from payday to payday. S says they need to see each other as this is so hard on them, tried reasoning with son but all he sees is the money that could bring her here.
WH and I did a good job on phone with S. I talked with WH last night to give him a heads up and what son wanted and had WH make decision about whether to give money, was going to stand by his decision, no matter what. Glad he went the way I would've, if son wants GF here he should have to earn it and not have it handed to him, my dad handed him a check to pay off the phone bill, I did not agree with that neither did WH. I do fear that my S will sink into depression as he fells everyone is against him and GF. My thought is if the parents wanted this girl to come and visit they would help her out with the money, she is 17. They just chose to say No in an easier fashion they didn't have the money and we had to be the bad guys.
WH and I talked afterwards and I enede up crying like always, I just get so emotional, I try so hard to hold the tears in and can't. H was very nice and asked if I would be ok. The bad thing is he is with OW in FL, don't know if he was calling from her house or pay phone, in a way I hope it was her house and OW hears that his family is having problems and going on, but UGH he called me from there!!!
Am proud of myself as I didn't LB!!
How old is your daughter? IS she feeling better? I had to take my 16yo to the ER yesterday as she passed out in school and had a migarine afterwards severly.
Dawn

Well, I just got through with final exams, so I don't know quite what to do with myself!
I cooked dinner (first time since this semester started), and did my Christmas shopping, all online. Yeah, I'm lame. Now I'm going to do some laundry, clean up a few hairballs, and catch up on my email.
Nothing eventful ...
belld

Belle,
What are you taking in school? I've thought of going to school but scare myself out of it each time, hated HS, was not a good student and had no desire to go after graduation, got married instead to Mr Wonderful, yeah right!!
So how much longer do you have to go before your degree?
Dawn

daybreak,
Trust me when I tell you that college is nothing like high school. At least it wasn't for me. Don't scare yourself out of going to school. If you have the chance, go for it.
jd

I have a few more days to register, thought that I should start with just one class. What class would you suggest?

Of course that would depend on your likes and dislikes. Believe it or not I rathered enjoyed US History. Not due to the material as much as the professor. Then Computer courses were ok. Thing is, just go into it with the idea that you are going to enjoy it all you can.
Then, if you are wanting grants or loans to help pay, you must realize that you have to maintain a certian number of credit hours.
jd

Us History would be a good one, better then algebra or Lit.
I know I know just do it.
Perhaps if I get myself there I could get my son back in college too. Good example and all!!

daybreak -
I've already got bachelors' degrees in Music Theory/Composition and Journalism - News/Public Affairs. I worked in politics and wanted to move to a state agency, but found that I didn't have the quantitative skills they were looking for - certain courses were mandatory. So I took a haitus from working full time and took some upper division calculus (for economics) and stats courses. I was going to grad school this year, but H got laid off. So there went that plan. Oh well, there will be plenty more semesters. I can't complain too much, as I now qualify for a better job with the state.
belld

I am still lurking at other topics ... just LB'ed not long ago, but WW strangely decided to stay home. She is on the internet taking her online traffic schools. Why can we make love rather than hurting each other ... sigh.

So strange that you asked the question..
It's Friday night what are you doing?
What any good BS would be doing. Sitting alone on the computer emailing to a buch of strangers on MB.
I couldn't wait to get home last night to "talk" to my friends @ MB. Fell asleep instead...too depressed.
It's so sad...All of us BS sitting here typing away trying to figure out the solutions, work on the problems, fix our WS, fix ourselves, help support each other, cry, laugh a little, comisserate alot etc etc
and what are the WS doing...
There in the bliss of their fog, not worring about us, their kids, their famililes. They're laying in bed with the OP having fun, laughing & relaxing. They are out to dinner, at a bar, getting picked up or just being relaxed without a worry. They aren't crying or worrying about anyone but themselves...
NOT FAIR. NOT FAIR. NOT FAIR.

I can't speak for other Wayward Spouses, but I can speak for myself (since I was one).
I am sure I am not the only WS either, I have seen others posting here. I know you are hurting, louser, but I do hope you'll remember that this forum is made up of betrayed AND wayward spouses.
I suffered (and still suffer some) from depression. I have been under a doctor's care and on medication for that since May 2000.
Last night, Friday night, my husband and I went to his office Christmas party. Yuck!! Just think about a room full of CPA's together... can you think of anything more boring??? lol But I survived, I didn't say or do anything to "rock the boat" so to speak, it went pleasantly.
Tonight is MY turn!! He is going with me to a party of MY friends, and believe me it will be A TOTALLY DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE lol. (theatre folk! )
These two nights are we both do our compromising. Last year, we went to our parties separately. This year, together. I think that is an improvement!!
Louser, just so you know, after reading your post, my heart just went out to you, and I will keep you in my prayers too. B:
Didn't mean to upset you & I know I would hear from a WS.
I too have a Christmas Party tonight. It's neighbors & I am not looking forward to it. Of course they ALL know my situation & I am so uneasy about how my H is going to react.
He comes across so arrogant & alot of people do not like him...now after knowing about his many infidelities he isn't liked any better.
I am glad that you & your H were able to be together this year & wish you many more. Thanks for the prayers I will be sure you to include you in mine.
Sorry if I offended you.

Hey louser! not to upset any WS's but yeah I'm home with the boys while the WW is out with "friends". And I too am on the MB site with friends I haven't met. I think this site has saved my M and my life so to speak. Don't know what I'd have done without you all. Jerry.

Awww... no!! You didn't upset me... not really.
I think, when I first read it, I might have flinched a little (said with a smile! ) but then I reminded myself, there are a lot of people here (BS's) who are still being hurt by their WS's. And that just made my heart ache for you.
I really really do pray for the friends I have made on this site. I pray that those who still love their WS's that the WS will come to their senses and come back to their spouse. I realize I am one of the lucky ones!!
Take care. And remember, no matter which side we are on, we can still care for each other and be there for support. I sure try anyway!!
