So we were at lunch today (co-worker and I). She was telling me about the Barbara Walters show about babies being born without fathers due to the 911 tragedy.
I was trying hard to listen but the next table was a young woman (early 30s) and a man mid 50ish, him with a big wedding band and her hand bare. Oh... they weren't talking just about work. Something about her kids and a lot of mumbling. Ok, this is none of my business but I almost choked. Lost my appetite actually.
Then she started putting her hands on him and he responded and they made out right there in MacDonald's!!!
Not a H & W kinda kiss, ya know? My girlfriend said I was imagining it but she couldn't see it since her back was to them. I told her all that smacking we heard wasn't because of the kid's meal cheeseburger or fries the OW was eating.
So I comment to my friend about the 911 incident and said, I know someone from MB...... who had family affected by 911. hm...... the man kept looking over his shoulder at us.
Is this an A or do I just have an overactive imagaination? Hm...... well, isn't anyplace safe anymore? Oh I know there's really not but it is like witnessing a crime and not being able to report it. I just wanted to say....." ". Maybe better not.
So much for lunch. Excuse me, I think I'll be sick! LOL!
L.

Desparate woman. He is out whining and dining OW at McD's ?!! That paints a new picture for me - it is not all romance is it. Did she play in the Ballpit after she ate?
I am such and in-your-face marriage savers person, I might have said something. I am very open with people that if they want to have an affair - don't tell me. I will call the wife. I need to change my name - I am heard, now that I have been through what I have been through - I make sure I am heard.

Between my own problems, helping out here as much as possible and intorducing all of my troubled friends to MB, I can't worry about whats happening at McD's. Although the ball pit sounds kinda fun.

Yea Dad, You are right. But it did make my hair stand on end.....What a sight to see...is that why the guy kept looking over his shoulder? LOL
My MB sensors just kicked in soo fast. I know it is none of my business but when they started kissing passionately, I got embarressed for the whole restaurant. Of course this was after the man checked to see if the coast was clear. I almost said 'hey there's his wife'!!! Almost, instead I bit my tongue and kept drinking my soda. Almost gagged!!!!
I am sure I have witnessed this before, this is the first time it hit me so hard. I hope I did make him feel uncomfortable if he was with his mistress. She didn't seem to mind. Looks like she had nothing to be afraid of.
Think I'll stick to Burger King for a while. he he he !!!!
L.

Orchid,
I know what you mean when you ask if any place is safe anymore. I am sorry that you had the unfortunate happenstance of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Indy

I have been feeling the same way about television, in the least likely places, like on The Simpsons! Marge and Homer have both contemplated having affairs!!
And I was going along nicely with The Practice, and lo and behold, the main character (Jeepers, forgot his name) has an emotional affair with a client, and his wife knows (we always do, don't we?) but he isn't admitting... that was about four weeks ago and I haven't watched since. I had to live it in real life, and have NO DESIRE to relive it.
It's getting to the point where all I can do is watch Pettycoat Junction, Gilligan's Island or... hey... maybe Murder She Wrote and hope the kill off the cheaters (hey, they sometimes do!! ).

Orchid....
This thought has occurred to me also. For some reason my WS seems to be obsessed with going to McD's for breakfast food. WS also goes to a hot dog shop that is at least 1/2 hour away on the weekends very often. The food isn't that great at either of these places, so I've always wondered what else is there? WS always comes home with food, so I know that was actually part of the destination. I just don't buy that it was all of it. I agree with you...no place is safe because after an A, we all have a heightened sense of awareness and see what's going on that others may miss.
Maybe I should take a run to one of these places one day after WS leaves!

OK, I'll grant ya it sounds suspicious. OTOH, a couple of months ago I had lunch with my H (who always wears his ring), and I did not have on mine (I often take it off to garden, cook, etc., and it may or may not make it back to my hand anytime soon). And, yeah, we made out a bit (slightly more secluded table than the midst of McD's tho).
Oh, and I'm SURE I look much, much younger than H. Well, it was worth a try...
Ya never know

O,
I heard every word you said. I know that I now consider myself a victim/professor of the 60-second analysis when looking at other couples and their relationship dynamics. My … my what an education can do to how one perceives the world around them. Sometimes I wish I could go back to seeing the world as filled with mostly happy people that are just doing fun things together.
HI

Ugh mickey D's, I hate that place. OW was OBSSESED with happy meals. It makes no sense since she'd buy at least 2 meals for herself each time, doesn't that add up to a normal adult meal in the end?
She had all this Happy Meal toys thrown all over the place. H says that she had very weird problems and that she was rather psychotic I can say that yeah she is psychotic and also paranoid to the point of schizophrenia.
To this day I shiver to think adults would buy a happy meal and then pretend that makes them look "cute".
I don't wear my wedding ring anymore, I don't like to and it doesn't fit (pregnancy doesn't help to that), so if you see me you can be assured I am cheating on my husband with my husband LOL
Wonder how many OW order Happy Meals? if any BS do please do not get offended I just found it odd
