It's me again. Well, I wrote the letter acknowledging my faults. It seemed to mean alot to him. He kept it. He's sentimental, keeping cards and letters that are meaningful to him and shredding the rest.

My 20 year old son stayed out all last night without calling, made a remark before he left stating "why do I have to call, Daddy doesn't when he stays out?" My response, since when are you my husband. He is SO DISRESPECTFUL; I have contributed to giving him the wrong message.

My WS wanted to focus alot on my son's actions and my contributions. I LISTENED and did not LB in response to his statements although his voice was raised and he wasn't speaking to me NICELY. Alot of what he was saying was true regarding my responsibility for my son's current state. However, I noticed that my WS was talking more reasonably about the situation, not sounding as EXTREME as I regarded him in the past. I think it was because I was really LISTENING to him this time, not being defensive and judgmental about his opinions.

However, inside I was also thinking HOW DARE HE CRITICIZE ME given that he is probably making contact today with the OW and using this situation with my son as an excuse. Before he left, I did reiterate my request for NO CONTACT and he stated "I told you to leave me alone about that". He promised to be home for dinner at 6:30. He chose the time for dinner. He seems surprised and happy about little things like me asking him what time he wants dinner rather than me saying what time dinner will be.

The OW did a hang-up call this morning.

That's what is going on with me.

Any feedback/comments from you guys will be most helpful. I really appreciate and rely on your support.

You are doing VERY GOOD. I know it is probably just killing you, but believe me, it is all for the best.

He knows I'm taking my son back to college this afternoon and pushed dinnertime back to 7:30. He called me from his office to check on my schedule. I can't help but be anxious that he is planning time with her but I have to let that go right? He is coming home to me tonight and is calling to check on me. No more talk about separation and is working with me on the Wayward Son.

Thanks for listening!
