My WS is home for the first time on a Saturday night in several weeks. I think Plan A is definitely working.
However, why do I feel so anxious and crazy like I can't possibly measure up to the excitement of the OW. I feel almost uncomfortable with him like he is a stranger. This is WEIRD!!!
Any suggestions? I want him to know how happy I am that he is here but I don't want to overdo it.

....then smile with caution. Don't have a puppy dog excitement look in your eyes. Don't seem over anxious.
When the WS first came back, I learned to give him the....look. No words more looking. He would first ask.... 'whaaaat' then are you ok, then he would ask more questions. Less talk more looking worked for me.

To help you break that ice your feeling...Can I suggest running your husband a bath , and you giving him the bath of a lifetime! Of course with that look on your face.
Its quite a bonding experience. He will lap it up , and you both will gain much from it.

The bath is a great idea for LATER in our recovery (?) I think we are both too uncomfortable for this yet. I just caught him with the OW on NEW YEAR"S EVE. Thanks, though.
I'm continuing to check for any other feedback.

Mimi,
You are supposed to feel anxious and crazy right now. Your marriage and family life is in a shambles and has come to a point of crisis. What you are doing right now, Plan A with no lovebusters, is part of the solution. When you feel too uneasy, just come HERE and unload on us instead of letting him have it.
You are doing great! Have you been reading the EXCELLENT material on this website?
