Cathy-
If you are hooked into a home network you may need administrative priviliges for this. Here it is:
Open "My Computer" Click on "Tools" "Folder Options" "View"
Make sure the following items are checked: Display the contents of system folders Display the full path in the address bar Show hidden files and folders
Make sure the following items are UN-checked: Do not cache thumbnails Hide extensions for known file types Hide protected operating system files
Click on "Apply" then "OK" Click on the following: "C" "documents and settings" either click on "administrator" or whatever your login is (or your H's) "local settings" "temporary internet files"
Here is the holy grail of info. This is the cache for the internet, anything with an internet explorer icon is a web page that you can click on and open. If you have webmail you might be able to read emails that he sent out even if he deleted them. Sort this screen by "type" and look for "HTML Document" files. All cookies are stores here also. Keep in mind that cookies get set without you ever actually visiting a certain web site so this is not a clear indication that he is still hitting those sites. JPEG and GIF files are pictures (like the MB logo) that are store here also. That way you can see if he looking at any porn or actively surfing the dating sites.
Going back out of those folders to "Local settings" again you can click on: "application data" "microsoft" "Outlook"
If you use outlook for email or contacts and or calendar you can copy the .pst files for later use. If he has outlook password protected than you can look at the files on another computer and try to crack the password that way.
Good Luck! Let me know if you have any questions or problems. Just remember DO NOT ALTER any files. If you are planning to use this info in a potential divorce I would suggest you make a copy of at least those folders if not the entire hard drive BEFORE doing anything listed above. If you go in and look at any of those files you will change the dates on those files and potentially ruin the chances of using them in court. If you want to copy those files let me know and I can help you with that. Also, if it is not your computer you may run into some legal issues if you try to use this info in court.
Time for bed soon! Keep me posted on how it goes.
