WAT, I am way behind here so please forgive me. I have been very sick for a few days.I'm a tough ole bird so I will be all right but I wanted to post to you right quick.

quote:
I apologize for not being able to respond to everyone's posts, but I suspect you have been in good hands. Please do not be offended - it is not for lack of interest or compassion, simply lack of time. Hopefully my efforts to maintain threads like "On contacting the OP" have leverage to help many.

Thanks for your understanding.

WAT

I am not at all offended by anything, in any way with you and I was fine with the reminder to stay on track. .

I just love your straight forwardness, honesty and especially your humor and I have posted some prime goodies that you would have had a field day with and probably would have had me rolling with laughter over.In saying I was amazed that was your first response was like when you pass gas in a crowded room and draw up getting ready, waiting for the ones you fiqure will say something and wait to laugh and get razzed. I do understand that you cannot respond to all posts.I honestly didn't mean it that way.
I have been in good hands with Pepperband(who I also love for the same reasons. She's the type that would place her arm around your shoulder and say "There now.I know you feel better with that out of your system." ) and others who have responded.

I and others receive a lot of great advice from reading what you post to others.

Keep em thinking and laughing, WAT.I'll still be reading. KK

Hi kk, yes, I guess I did misinterpret your words - and I'm glad I did.

Hope you're feeling better. If you have a cold I can offer WAT's cold cure: 4 parts pineapple juice, 2 parts orange juice, 1 part cream of coconut, 1 to 4 parts rum depending on how bad your cold is. Mix it all in a blender and pour over ice. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Sip while listening to Buffett or Marley. In 10 days to two weeks, your cold will be gone. Guaranteed.

WAT---

Is that cold remedy just a one time dose or repeat as needed?

I just love "home remedies" like that!

Definitely prn - repeat as needed! One dose could do it, but why take the risk by waiting the 10 days to find out?

But seriously, no, I am NOT in the medical industry. I learned WAY more than I wanted to know taking care of my son. But, a lot of the terminology can be applied to home remedies, as well, right?

This is when being married to a sober man is not fun..... no blended rum drinks at our superbowl party!

Well ..... I find him to be so darn sexy sober .... that makes up for the lack of rum!

Yes, I shouldn't make light of this given the seriousness it can be to a lot of people. I consider myself lucky to be able to enjoy in moderation - prn!

Do you not drink any type of alcohol yourself? Or not around your husband? Or what?

I have a favorite wine that I dearly love. I would hate going without my occasional glass, but thankfully, we have no alcohol addiction problems in the family....

I rarely have alcohol if I am at a party with my husband .... I have one annual event where I routinely get "smashed" ....

end-of-summer-girls-only-sweet-potato-queens-sleep-over

we make "knock-you-naked-margaritas" and then have a dance contest and karaoke contest .... it get's better every year!

I don't drink wine, it gives me a migraine.
