I have a friend who is 22 she had a baby who is now a year old. Her and the child's father have been going through some changes but are slowly but surely working things out to make a better life for there child. She's a good person but makes bad choices as human's do. For example she's a very pretty girl and she meets a lot of guys most of them on the internet or some penpal in jail. When these people that she dosen't know are located in Michigan and Upstate NY and Boston. We live in NY(Brooklyn)ask her to come and visit them she will go. It never fails this is the 3rd time that she has decided to jump up and go visit strangers and dump her kid off on other people and lie to her boyfriend. Now as a friend I can't stop her from doing what she wants to do. But when I try to bring her to reality she says she young and theres's nothing wrong with having fun. What else could I possibly say to this girl to make her understand that she a mom and her baby should be first and foremost in her life and if these guys wanted to know you wouldn't they come to visit her. I just need the right words to wake her up before its to late because in the end she may lose a child a boyfiend who loves her and most of all her life......P.S. when she goes on these spur of the moment trips nobody knows where she is , only when she's coming back.

This woman is in need of psychological help. She could be charged for abandonment. She could be charged for many things. The poor baby, being thrown here and there. Why doesn't the father of the baby get the baby when she wants to go on one of her flings? Or where is the young womans mother? Or the fathers mother? Where is the family of this young woman?

Seems there are other alternatives.

It seems to be this woman is wanting to feel needed. Maybe she is not happy being a mother, and being tied down. But she gave birth to this little one, and now she has a committment for 18 years. Get her family involved. Has anyone suggested to her to go to school, get a job, or do both? She could also, do volunteer work. She seems to need to interact with men. I would say, she needs psychological help, and the grandparents should be involved, for the granddaughters sake.
