Any of you guys had this symptom?
I have read on it, and am upping calcium and trying to rest and cold compress it, etc. I know it must be the stress. Instead of being my explosive self, could I be interalizing it now? UGH!
Thanks, H

Twitching and jerky movements right down to limbs going numb! are quite common in times of stress.
If your twitching does continue, then yes I would also recommend a visit to your local health care professional. So he can advise/reassure you that you are not suffering any underlying disorder. He/she may even perscribe a little something to help you through this time. ( short term usually)
Please whatever you do , don't go frantic looking for answers over the net... the imagination can run riot when your body is acting in an odd and new way. So please do consult a health care professional if you are worried.
For now..I am not sure of the benefits of calcium, though I would recommend at least a 20 minutes each day, relaxing.. basically.. lie flat in a comfy position..start at your toes and relax, work your way up your body bit by bit. Till your on the verge of what you feel is sleep. Its not sleep though its just a perfect relaxed state. ( you can get tapes to talk you through this)From there you just about fly from mountain tops, imagine the most peacefull place you can be and enjoy it!
20 minutes of this a day is as good as a few hours good hard kip.
I have used this technique now for over 5 yrs for pain-management..its the best thing since sliced bread!

My left eye is twitching as I type this.. so YES! I have the same symptom, and it is most definitely stress related.
My "twitch" didn't start until after a couple of weeks in the women's shelter. I was also getting a mild case of eczema (sp?) on my knuckles. When talking to the counsellors, they said that those are EXTREMELY common symptoms of stress, yet mild ones too!
I haven't looked into any remedies, b/c it doesn't bother me too much anymore. The eczema went away once I was out of shelter btw. But the twitching continues! Once some of the court stuff is in place, I would imagine the twitching will miraculously disappear!

Hi and thanks to all of you! In a rush rush right now, so can't post long.
Twitching still up and has been on and off for a few months now.
I need rest, it usually goes away when I decompress some.. just tired of it, a new thing this year. I guess I used to LET IT ALL OUT, and I mean ALL.... Glad I don't anymore... but don't want too much twitching, or other signs.
I did see a doc yesterday and she recc. the calcium, I bought some in a form at the drugstore that is like a little choc. candy... it is good! Although I hope low carb, as that is my diet nowadays!
Also new meds, wellubrin, I had stopped anti d's a long while back due to cost issues, but decided for now I will try this one, also doc sd it is weight neutral which is of high interest to me, as many of you have heard me complain me and ws want me to lose weight, and the stress has kept it on for me.
Also trying botrin, I think that is the name to curb appetite... just for a bit. Down 3 lbs today! WOOHOO!
Anyway, thanks for the support, just thought I would ask , as it is quite bothersome and distracting.
Hugs to all of you and thanks for the tips. I like the relaxation ones and will be trying, also thanks to those of you who let me know you have similar symptoms.
Thanks, Gotta rush, UGH. Promise to calm down in a few hours, perhaps a little low cal drinky drinky? I know you all will tell me no, not on the meds, but boy do I need a hot bath, don't know if I can wait 2-3 hrs... ! Rushaby for now....
