I am a little stressed, but trying to calm down.
Things were going very well, ws even cooked dinner for us , me and the kids and himself last nite and had us over .... his invite. Very nice.. but today is different... due to his idea of a nite out....
I know I control how I feel, not ws.
I am just so angry at him! UGH! AHHHH! Ok , screaming makes it a little better...
Anyway, I am just very angry b/c ws is suppossed to pick up the kids tonite. Well, well--- I am in Houston and it is rodeo time... there is some sort of cook off for BBQ tonite.
I call ws this afternoon to find out what time he is going to get kids... I have gotten better at acceptance in this area of my life....
I am doing way better, b/c ws has shown efforts working on marriage and has seemed like a better dad lately...
Well HIS 'friends' who party and drink ALOT, invited him the bbq cook off above and he and his 'friends' want to take the kids... I am not ok with this.... !!! B/c i am sorry, I was not born yesterday, and I know there will be lots of drinking.
So far ws sd he had to go, I called back and he sd he had to go again. No resolution. He actually threatened that if i do not let him take the kids, he would bring a sheriff to my door with the custody order... which is temp. right now, due to my filing with tx. attorney general - we have tmep order for stand. visitation, every other weekend....
So he is trying to cause trouble in this area. I have no issue, just that kids don't go out with tdirnking, and I belive this is a normal feeling a mom would have. I don't like my kids running around with a bunch of guys partying... ;(
Ok, trying to calm, maybe he won't even call back. I did suggest he just go out and have fun tonite and see the kids tomorrow am... Maybe that is what he will do....
Who knows. I just don't like the drinking buddies.
Thanks for any thoughts.

hmmmm...this is a toughie, if tonight is part of WS visitation...this could get you into trouble. BUT...I don't blame you a bit about kids around a lot of drinking and what is worse the very real possiblity that they will be riding in a car with a drunk before the night is out.
I think I'd risk having him show up with cops in tow and visitation order in hand. At least this way, you can put the cops on notice that they need to be on the lookout for him when he leaves the BBQ...and make sure that he isn't drinking and driving with your children in the car. And you can bet that the cops will have something to say to him before they leave!
You might offer to be a "taxi" for him/kids tonight. I know, may well be putting yourself out...but better then DUI or an accident involving your children. jmho

Honey, I think you did the right thing if you were pretty sure he was going to be drinking. Your first responsibility is to those boys. You did good, girl.

Thanks, calming down.... He hasn't called me back.... gee? Wonder why, he must of been paid and may have hit the bars... UGH! I don;t even know that , I am just negatively speculating at the idea... I know, he might even be at work!
Anyway, he may or may not call, and my only stipulation will be no drinking with the kids, and partying type behavior.....
Anyway, we shall see. Too bad he had to get so mad at me again@ This is getting old. I hate for him to get mad at me when I am only caring about the kids!
Thanks for the support.

Honey,
It's unfortunate that his drinking is going to be something that the kids are going to be subjected to most any time that they are with him.
You won't be able to be with them every weekend and every place they go. He is going to drink...that is what he does.
Until his drinking is addressed as a problem and recognized by you, him and the TX court as something that is detrimental to the childrens safety and well being, you are going to continue to be terrorized by his lack of concern over the issue.
Didn't the temporary order address his drinking?
quote:
...my only stipulation will be no drinking with the kids, and partying type behavior.....

The order could have stipulated that neither of you drink while the children were in your respective care. That does not slander him or you, yet it helps to create a safer environment for the kids.
