I have a question. I can't understand why my H who is living with the OW cannot call his children in days or see them. Anyone have any reasons why? It really hurts and especially how can he not be wondering what they are up to, if they are sick etc..? He is the only one that is going to be sorry. He also says this is where I put him when I cheated on him a 1 1/2 ago to be with this ow. He also won't go see or call his parents for the past few weeks. [ March 01, 2003, 06:20 PM: Message edited by: goldielocks109 ]

I truly believe that it is part of the guilt, that they repress from what it is they have done to you and the kids, it's a subconsious thing. If they have to see or hear the kids, what they have done is staring them in the face. They don't like that so avoid calling or seeing. Same goes with the parents, they don't want to hear their parents tell them that what they have done is wrong!!!
Like you said he is the one that will be sorry and that is his to own not yours, you can't change it for him!!!You can however be sad for your kids and for the man that you loved and married and was probably an awesome dad back in the day before the OW. That is yours to be sad! The rest we have to let go! Hard so very hard to do, but we must or we drive our selves insane!!!
xH was here for 2 1/2 days while oldest daughter had a heart procedure. It is a 12 hour drive, he doesn't have to be back to work til Monday but he couldn't stay had to leave Friday morning, didn't have to work today, so am not sure what was up with that!!!! Unfortunately the kids realized that they are not # 1 in his book anymore. That is sad and I can be sad that my kids had to learn that about their father. The one thing I can say for the man is that he is awesome at getting us the money each month!!!
That is my 2 cents worth on the subject, was just kind of close to home when I read the title!!!

My WS told me yesterday that he is "ashamed" to see our 16yo son because of the "life he is leading".
I did finally get him to call him on the phone. My WS asked,"What should I say?" I told him to ask how is he doing.
This fits with Daybreak's theory. [ March 02, 2003, 07:53 AM: Message edited by: mimi1254 ]
