Luki-

I could see why this is true based on the things I've read and felt through my recovery.

Unless a person finds peace and happiness within hisself, he will never find it in a relationship. It doesn't come from someone else. It comes from inside.....

Maybe that is why most people find the heartache and heartbreak that they do.

Like the song says "it's not getting what you want, it's wanting what you've got". You need to have your wits about you when the glow starts to fade and LIFE sets in.

Blessings!

My thought is that, simply, if you expect that marriage will be like it was when you were pursuing each other, dating or whatever, you are screwed. I'm feeling a little cynical today. Can you tell

I also found this interesting...makes you wonder if many people just get married because that's what you're supposed to do...

Marriage is so different from dating. In dating, since you do not live together, much time is spent anticipating and waiting for the next time you meet or see each other. It makes it much more fun & exciting. In marriage, you live together, and it's almost like there is too much time together. Things get repetitive and too monotonous.

I think this is what caused WW to stray and now leave...OM was something new and exciting to her. No longer was a steady husband needed, rather, I was boring to her.

Marriage is not a cure to problems, nor is a dream job, house, or car. People need to work on internals before expecting one thing to fix their lives...
