My H's OW was from poland, so anytime i hear someone speaking polish i just want to crawl somewhere dark and cry. it's getting worse, too - last night i had to leave a store i was shopping in b/c someone was walking around chit chatting on their cell phone, in polish, and i swear for a split second i almost grabbed the phone from this poor womans hand and smashed it to pieces. it scared the hell out of me. anyone have the pleasure of an "exotic" OW/OM lurking in your triggers?? i hate it, i really do - all i think about is OW talking to my H in that voice, in that accent - AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH.
Maybe I should've kept up on my French in school, huh? The language of love, no?! Well, Ce'st la vi...

Actually, yes. My W's OM#3 was from Virgin Islands. As I'm sure you know they have a very distinct accent there. So everytime I hear it I still cringe a little bit. Frustrating isnt' it. The smallest little "every day" events cause emotional triggers. How are you and your H now, may I ask?

oh, how good i'm not alone! of course i never feel that way when im on this site. i see you can relate to the multiple betrayals as well - the wonderful club you never wanted to be a member of, right?
H and I - let's see...still good days and bad; as H kept contact (phone and PA) until recently. so, our/my recovery has been slapped in the face a couple of times. I'm 8 months post d-day and still don't know if I can stay w/H or not...but i suppose that's part of the rollercoaster i'll be on for awhile. The next hurdle I need to get over is our anniversary in a couple of weeks - i am blown away when i think about what has happened since that happy (at least i thought so!) day 1 year ago.

Wow, yes I do relate. The OW is Latino - whenever I hear someone speaking English with a Spanish accent I really tense up.
