I'm wondering if Plan B should be followed for a minimum period of time.

If WH decides to write the NC letter, agrees to terminate the relationship and total NC, and is ready to try Plan A, should he be permitted?

I guess my concern is, if contact with the OW has occurred fairly recently, how can I/we be sure the addiction is over and that the fog has lifted?

Would certainly appreciate any experiences fellow MB'ers can share. I would hate to have it be a false alarm and have to start all over again on Plan B.

I think 6 months is a typical number for plan B. Some go longer. If it's less, possibly that means you waited to long to begin plan B, and therefore you did not have much left in your love bank. Ultimately you have to make the decision based on your own circumstances and feelings.

If your WH wants to begin a recovery process, it's not really plan A in the formal sense. You would still be doing many of the plan A things, though. No-contact with OW is absolutely essential in a recovery. (This is what aborted mine). If there is going to be a recovery, he needs to assure you that he's not in contact. That means he should be proactive, letting you know where he is, showing you cell phone bills, letting you monitor his computer, etc. Rather than you having to rely on his words, or having to snoop on him.

Good luck.

I think it varies depending on the case. I've read that it can go up to 1.5 to 2.0 years, if your love bank for your WS doesn't close before then. You might want to ask our resident MB coach Cerri because she can probably give you a better answer.
