I'm looking for some help here, I had an affair that lasted 1.5 years it ended 6 months ago. My ex-wife still wanted to make it work, but felt she needed to get divorced in order to make it work. We have struggled at times since the divorce which was 3 months ago, but we have maintained a very good relationship and have comunicated better then ever before. We have two beautiful girls age 5 and 6 and we really enjoy the time with them and each other. 2 weeks ago my ex went to a wedding of a co-worker, she had spent the day with me and really was flirting with me and had asked me to stay the night. Well I told her to call me when she got home and we could see. Well she ended up not calling and the next day I found out she got totally smashed and spent the night with the co-workers brother. She told me she loved me and only wants me, I spent the night with her the next night and tried to comfort her and let her know people make mistakes and it is ok as long as you realize what you did. As the week went along, more questions came to her mind like who is this person and what is he like. She now wants this person to call her and she would like to date him and maybe start a relationship with him or at least sleep with him while she is not drunk. She will not say she is done with me, but at this time she claims to be very confused. Is this normal behaivor and am I fooling myself that she will ever come back around?
